A kabuki system serves the purpose of lowering an object during the course of an event or a performance at a precisely fixed time. In most cases this is a curtain, a covering or a net (e.g. filled with balloons which then float down onto the people below).

The effect is impressive and is deployed to unveil new products or to create a particular effect on stage.
